Not your typical guide experience. I fish alongside you—not from the shore. We move together, read water together, and fish the same runs at the same time.
I’ll take you to the right spots, help you select the right flies and techniques, then we fish side by side for the day. I’m there to coach, give advice, and teach as needed—but the dynamic is simple: we’re fishing together like buddies, not operating a formal client-guide routine.
This experience is designed to build skills that stick. We start with focused instruction, then immediately apply it on the water while fishing together. You’ll get direct feedback, corrections, and adjustments in real fishing scenarios.
This isn’t your typical guide experience, after focused 1:1 coaching we will both be fishing side by side. You will see me applying the methods I taught you earlier in the day and we will break periodically to correct issues and refine technique.
Who I am
Like a lot of anglers, I’m fully addicted to fly fishing—especially the waters of Northern California. I’m a well-rounded fly fisherman and comfortable across techniques, but my true passion lives with the Spey rod and Euro nymphing. The tug really is the drug.
When I’m not on the water with clients, I’m usually out fishing on my own. I spend a lot of time on the Trinity, McCloud, Pit, Hat Creek, and Fall Rivers, and I’m always exploring new water and learning how fish behave in different systems.
My approach is simple: fish hard, pay attention, and keep improving. That mindset carries directly into how I guide and teach—practical, experience-driven, and focused on helping you become a better angler, not just have a good day.
